Quantum Focusing For Your Fitness Goals

You may have heard of the power of positive self suggestion, Quantum Focusing is a framework which can help you achieve results in your life - in our example below this is for getting fit and being healthy.

 

Background

We all have an internal dialog, a voice in our head as we talk to ourselves with our thoughts. For the majority of people this is negative self talk, telling them how they cannot do things, or aren't good enough. This technique helps conditioning our unconcious mind to hijack this internal dialog.

Quantum Focusing has been used in various forms to help people feel better, and deal with great suffering. Doesn't it therefore follow it can help you achieve your fitness goals.

 

Usage

It takes no more than 2 minutes a time to use this, and you only need to do this 5-7 times a day for a few weeks to experience profound effects.

Use the same words each time and say them to yourself inside using your internal voice rather than speaking them out aloud - this helps us condition our internal dialog. Where we focus the attention of our mind, the more our mind will get the message.

 

Quantum Focusing Example For Gaining Muscle

Say to yourself inside, whilst focusing on yourself (you may find easier with your eyes closed and relaxed):

I live with a happy heart,

[try doing with that warm tingling feeling you get when you see a love one]

a playful spirit,

[try doing with that twinkle in your eyes when you have been wickedly outrageous]

a peaceful mind

[allow things to go quiet inside with your internal dialog and allow your mind to feel relaxed]

Pause for a moment to allow the above to settle in and feelings to mix.

I am 16 stone, muscular, work out and take the right nutrition

[This is the suggestion you plant yourself with - feel free to vary]

I deserve to be happy and healthy

[try and have your internal voice say it as if it is shouting - it's harder than you think]

 

Quantum Focusing Example For Losing Weight

This is the same as the example before, but you'll see the self suggestion changed. Say to yourself inside, whilst focusing on yourself (you may find easier with your eyes closed and relaxed):

Other Example Suggestions

You could try any of the following, depending on your goals and what is important to you. Always try stating things in positives, avoid statements such as cellulite free or not fat. If you can hold a vision of your desired out come too in this moment it will be even more powerful.
